You know that when you are a small community like Oracle, you are going to need some help to make the 4th of July a meaningful holiday for the kids. So, who ya gonna call? Why, the Rotary Club of SaddleBrooke!
For the past several years, the Rotary Club of SaddleBrooke has partnered with the Oracle Community Center and other local organizations to bring the 4th of July to the children of Oracle. The Rotarians not only help fund the event, but actually help to put it on. From preparing for the event to preparing food, and from securing prizes to giving the prizes away, members of the Rotary Club are there! Actually, I’m not sure the Rotarians don’t have more fun than the kids.
The 4th of July in Oracle is filled with good food, fun game booths, and amazing prizes for the kids. And don’t forget the community fellowship. The grand finale of the celebration is phenomenal. The Oracle Fire Department arrives at the end of the event to hose everyone down. Once everyone is wet and clean, they all go home. But an amazing time was had by all!
There is so much joy that comes from helping others. Helping with the Oracle 4th of July event is just one of many ways members of the Rotary Club of SaddleBrooke make a difference. We have numerous community service projects going on regularly. Our Rotary Club members sign up to help according to the time they have available, their interests, and their own personal schedule.
What is Rotary? It’s your friends and neighbors who gathered together to make a difference both locally and globally. Rotary International is the world’s largest volunteer organization. Rotary Clubs can be found in more countries than the Red Cross, Starbucks, or McDonald’s.
The Rotary Club of SaddleBrooke has been an award-winning club for many years. We’ve won awards for membership growth, membership retention, membership engagement, joint service projects, having fun, and Presidential Citations! Yes, we have a lot of fun when we gather!
Come visit and help make a difference in the world! The Rotary Club of SaddleBrooke meets Thursdays at the Ranch House at SaddleBrooke Ranch. We have lunch in the dining room at 11 a.m. followed by a meeting and program in the ballroom.
