The Gardeners Exchange at Saaddlebrooke Ranch welcomes Mark Sitter, owner of B and B Cactus Nursery, to speak on Wednesday, December 16 at 1:00 p.m. in the La Mesa Room at La Hacienda Club. Mark will share his vast knowledge of growing cacti and succulents, focusing on designing containers of succulents and their particular care. He is bringing plants to give away and plants to sell.
Mark worked for 10 years at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum as a horticulturist caring for the Cactus and Succulent Garden as well as the Ironwood Restaurant and Gallery. He was involved with many of the museum’s designs and installations of cactus and succulents.
Today he oversees a large and diverse collection of cactus and succulents from around the world growing at B and B Cactus Farm, one and a half miles east of Houghton Road on East Speedway Boulevard in Tucson.
The Gardeners Exchange is dedicated to providing horticultural information for desert gardeners. Bring your questions, bring your answers, bring your garden challenges and bring your excess plants to share. All are welcome. Open seating and no registration required.
