The British Club Dines at the Chef’s Table

Mary (Twink) Gates

It was the ever-popular Chef’s Table night in the Vistas dining room at SaddleBrooke One on March 12 when 18 members of the British Club met for a delightful evening of culinary delights prepared by our SaddleBrooke One chef.

During the evening, an inviting three-course meal was served, which included two glasses of wine. The delicious menu was comprised of an appetizer of bacon-wrapped shrimp with whole grain honey mustard, with hearts of palm and artichoke relish. For the next course, there was an entrée of succulent sliced New York striploin with cremini mushroom cognac cream sauce, accompanied by butter and chive mashed potatoes and a broccoli gratin. The delectable dessert was a house-made chocolate-raspberry cake with chocolate ganache.

Enjoying the camaraderie of members and friends, everyone agreed it was a splendid way to spend the evening, and they thanked Susan Biestek for organizing a very enjoyable, fun event for the British Club.
