Summer Program Planned for SaddleBrooke Genealogy Club

Laurence Edralin

Following a successful season, the SaddleBrooke genealogy club has announced plans for its summer sessions. Over the past year, members and guests enjoyed presentations on popular genealogy software, tips for strengthening research skills, and an introduction to using artificial intelligence in genealogy. Summer meetings will continue on the first Thursday of each month, with each session focusing on topics suggested by members. The June meeting will feature two open discussions: Family Tree Maker and AI tools for genealogy. Additional topics will be announced as the summer progresses. For the latest news and schedules, visit the club website at SaddlebrookeAZgenealogy.org.

June meeting: June 4 at 1 p.m. SaddleBrooke One club facilityCoyote room.

The club also hopes to support researchers who have hit a “brick wall” or would like help getting started again. To do that, the board is exploring a help-desk option where members can bring a specific research challenge and be matched with resources—both within the club and beyond—to help move the search forward. The idea is still under discussion; watch for updates as plans develop. Members, and members of the community, interested in helping plan this effort are encouraged to contact a board member through the website. The SaddleBrooke genealogy club continues to offer new ways to support family history research, and newcomers are welcome.
