The SaddleBrooke Tennis Club sponsored a Volunteer Appreciation and New Member happy hour party on October 23 on the Tennis Center patio. With festive fall table décor and happy hour beverages flowing, over 90 volunteers and new members enjoyed the heavy appetizers and desserts. This year we have had over twenty new members join the club. With a club of over 400 members, it takes a lot of volunteers to make things run smoothly and to create fun events. With socials, club championships, holiday parties, clinics, administration and maintenance of facilities, many members volunteer their time and sometimes their money to keep things working and to sponsor events so members get to meet each other. The Board of Directors wanted to recognize and thank those folks who make all this happen and to welcome our new members.
Many thanks go to the committee members who made this party a success. Kay Sullivan had an awesome team of helpers: Pam Corrigan, Margarit Wehrli, Mary Hlusko, Gary Greenbaum and Jay Wilson. You know you have had a good party when the wine is gone. The leftover packaged food was sent to the fire department to enjoy and leftover beverages were saved for future events.
