Let the games begin! January 9 started the first Wednesday of six for Social Team Tennis. Four men’s teams (Eagles, Falcons, Vultures and Hawks) and four women’s teams (Manhattans, Martinis, Mojitos and Margaritas) played gender doubles for 75 minutes split into two sessions.
The weather was almost perfect despite a small sprinkle of rain, but this did not stop these players! Everyone looked like they had a good time whether they were playing or spectating. They were laughing and joking along with hitting their best shots. What could be more fun tennis than that?
Dave Lamb (despite having surgery on his left hand a few days prior) brought a variety of beer, wine and soft drinks with the help of Joe Schullik. Debbie McGeehan brought the snacks. Thanks to our club for providing the funds to make this event possible!
The talk on the patio was how much everyone enjoyed meeting and playing with other members of our club!
