Calling all men! Sons of Orpheus – The Male Choir of Tucson, Tucson’s official ambassadors of song, is now recruiting new members for our twenty-sixth season of providing quality and fun choral music for Tucson and southern Arizona. We are seeking men of all ages, backgrounds, voices and singing ability to become a part of this internationally acclaimed choir.
Under the leadership of Founding Artistic Director, Professor Grayson Hirst, we perform up to 25 concerts each season including fundraisers for the Community Food Bank at Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind (ASDB), San Xavier Mission and Knights of Columbus, in-service concerts for Veterans Day at the VA Hospital, Memorial Day at East Lawn Cemetery, TMC Hospice and Homicide Survivors.
Our repertoire ranges from sacred music to sea ditties and from opera choruses to cowboy classics. We also support and encourage talented college and high school vocalists and instrumentalists who perform with us.
We rehearse Wednesday evenings, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus Building, 5770 E. Pima Street (between Craycroft and Wilmot).
