On May 9 the Sonoran Searchers chapter No. 1444 of the Questers presented a check for $500 to Chuck Sternberg who is the Exhibit Curator and Building Manger for the Oracle Historical Society. The donation is to be used for ongoing restoration work for a new exhibit in the museum. The Oracle Historical Society is housed at the Acadia Ranch at 825 E. Mt. Lemmon Highway. The Oracle Historical Society bought the Acadia Ranch in 1978 for use as a museum.
The Acadia Ranch is one of the oldest and historically significant buildings in Oracle. The ranch greeted visitors from around the world during its 130 years of changing ownership and colorful history.
Chuck Sternberg gives special tours of the museum by appointment, phone 520-896-9574 or the museum is open Thursday 4:00-6:00 p.m. and Saturday 1:00-4:00 p.m.
