SaddleBrooke Senior Softball Association (SSSA) completed the summer season in September. The final results are in, so let’s take a look:
Monday Recreation – Bubb’s Grub ran away with the championship with a final record of eight wins, three losses. Dale Norgard was at the helm as the season ended. Second place went to BRAKEMax led by Jeff Rayner, with three wins, eight losses.
Monday Community – Caliber Collision had a runaway first place finish with 10 wins, four losses. Debbie Seguin managed this team. We had a tie for second place. John Reingruber led Brookshier Pools to six wins, nine losses. Mark Forsch was leader of the Bubba J’s team that also finished with six wins, nine losses.
Tuesday Competitive – Larry Weber was in charge of Catalina Smiles Dentistry players who won the championship with eight wins, only two losses. Coming in second was Canyon Community Bank skippered by Bobby Carbone, with two wins, eight losses.
Tuesday Community – This was close. Eeking out first place was Central Alarm led by Debbie Seguin, with five wins, four losses. Vern Boothby managed Castro Landscape to four wins, five losses for second place.
Thursday Coyote – Crystal Tech Vivopools with Captain Ron Romac led the way with seven wins, three losses. The runner-up was Custom Screenrooms, Skipper Jack Graef, finishing with three wins, seven losses.
Friday Competitive – No contest here. Discount Tires managed by Charlie LaNeve pounded out 10 wins, had only one loss, to secure a first place finish. Coming in a distant second, Coyote Golf Cars led by Bob Chiarello finished with one win and 10 losses.
Friday Community – Another close competition. Leroy Johnson was captain of DS Builders and Remodeling who secured first place with six wins and five losses. Ron Quarantino created the line ups for Dominick’s Real Italian, the second place team, ending the season with five wins and six losses.
The men and women of SSSA play year round. Fall season is now underway; games start by 9:00 a.m. every day.
