Silversmithing and Lapidary Club

Bob Hutton

Spring and summer are just around the corner. Is your calendar showing some openings?

The SaddleBrooke Silversmithing and Lapidary Club can help you start a whole new chapter in your life enjoyment. You needn’t have any experience, just an interest.

Members are from a variety of backgrounds. Most anyone can learn the techniques if interested. Making beautiful things is a universal longing.

Many different disciplines are enjoyed here, from sterling silver, brass, copper, and many other items. Stones are cut and polished from rough specimens found or purchased.

Uneasiness with a gas torch is common without proper instruction. The same might be experienced with metal cutting or using tools.

Beginning classes will give you confidence in the processes and total safety. Many tools are available with the expertise shared for successful outcomes.

You don’t need tools to start. We supply them. The only thing we ask is that you wear closed-toe shoes. Dues and classes are affordable and based on material costs.

We meet Wednesdays and Fridays in the MountainView complex Turquoise Room after 9 a.m. Stop by. See www.sslc.club for info. There is a contact form there. Look through past newsletters, and you’ll get some ideas of what we’re about.
