112 ladies enjoyed the annual Quail Classic, April 13 to 15! Thanks so much to all the ladies and gentlemen who made it happen, especially our co-chairs Sandi Chester and Maire Ryan. The efforts of so many: Coyote Golf Cars (our major sponsor), hole sponsors, artists and artisans, our golf pros Bernie Eaton and Andy Higgins, the various chairs and their helpers, nearby golf clubs, Rich Davies (our official photographer for this tournament) and the generosity of so many in our league. Being involved in this event is time consuming but the rewards in seeing everyone enjoy the three days are well worth it.

Hats off to our April Aces Eleanor Kehlenbeck and Bonnie Barker. Eleanor had a net 67 with Bonnie scoring a gross 77. Congrats Aces! And congrats to Venetia Lewis who won Southern District. Super playing, Venetia.
Speaking of Aces, Susan Sterling made a hole-in-one April 17 on Catalina No. 8. Using a 6 iron and Srixon ball, Susan made the 103 yard ace, witnessed by Nancy Huffman, Valerie Malik and Ret Convey. Way to go, Susan!

The LAGOS play day was May 13. What is LAGOS? Ladies Amalgamated Golf Organizations of SaddleBrooke, i.e. the Niners and 18ers). Ann Running and Kathy DeMerritt co-chaired this event for 64 fellow golfers. Ladies Always Go Out Swinging was the theme for this year’s event with two flights, the Movers and Shakers! These ladies moved and shook! First place Shakers were the team of Judy Fick, Margery Nemura, Helen Gorham and Opal Larkin. First place Movers were the team of Reeney Romey, Robbie Summers, Angie Denahan and Mary Ann Oeschger.
Other upcoming events are the Home & Home Tournament. SaddleBrooke will join the MountainView/Preserve ladies at The Preserve on May 27 with a reciprocal day in SaddleBrooke on June 3. SBWGA co-chairs are Margaret Falconer and Patti Pratti. July 22 is our Sadie Hawkins Tournament followed by the Summer Classic, August 12 and 13.
