The annual Member/Member Tournament was held on May 2 and 3. The theme was “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.” The first day was an alternate shot Chapman event, and the second day was 1 Gross Best Ball and 1 Net Best Ball event.
The overall winners of the Member/Member Tournament were Debbie Green and Mary Ribachi, Best Overall Gross Score, and Tina Gruner and Marie Kahng, Best Overall Net Score. Congratulations to these ladies as well as the many flight winners.
Congratulations to Joan Chyall for winning first place in the second flight of the Regional LPGA Amateur Tournament held at Ak-Chin golf course. Cathe Kropp placed third in her flight. Both women are now qualified to play in the LPGA Amateur National Tournament to be held in Northern California.
A hole-in-one was carded by Ret Convey on SaddleBrooke course, hole number 6. Congratulations, Ret.
The heat is coming, and the snowbirds are heading north. There are still scheduled SaddleBrooke Women’s Golf Association league events but no lunches until next fall. Stay cool and stay hydrated.
