Our Club Championship ended after three very windy, challenging days. Chaired by Judy Briney, 32 players played in one of two flights: the Championship Flight (21 players) and the Senior Flight (11 players). Players played each of the three, nine-hole courses twice. Gross scores were totaled at the end of each round.
The first two rounds were very windy, but players were undeterred. The final round was played on March 18 followed, of course, by a party where the winners were presented with trophies and roses. And the winners are as follows: Helen Graham, Club Champion, and Mary Ribbacchi, Senior Club Champion.
Fay Steele, an Honorary Member, helped with the collection and clarification of the scorecards. The prizes and the party were funded by our sponsors Andy’s Irrigation, Desert Life Pharmacy, Big Bear Garage Door, and Fairway Cooling & Heating. Helping with scorecard collection was Fay Steele, one of our Honorary Members.
