Introductory Bird Watching for children age six and older, as well as parents and grandparents, will be held on Thursday, April 2 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. by Bob and Prudy Bowers at the end of Desert Sky cul-de-sac. Bring hats, sunscreen, plenty of water and binoculars if you have them. Directions: from Ridgeview turn east onto Desert Trail Drive, turn left onto Desert Sun, then right onto Stoney Ridge, pass the stop sign on S. Saturday, April 4
A Ceramics Event, where kids can paint a ceramic object of their choosing, will be hosted by the SaddleBrooke Ceramics Club on Saturday, April 4 in the Ceramics Club room (Quartz Room) in the HOA 2 Arts and Craft Complex. The session for children age two to eight will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and the session for kids age nine to 14 will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Arrive anytime during the first 45 minutes of your child’s allotted time slot. All children must be accompanied by an adult. An old shirt or tee shirt is recommended to protect clothing, but all painting supplies will be provided by the Ceramics Club. An Egg Hunt will be hosted by the SaddleBrooke Swim Club on Saturday, April 4 on the lawn in front of the MountainView Clubhouse. Preschoolers will meet in the Sonoran Room at MountainView between 10:30 and 10:45 a.m. The hunt for eggs and treats will begin at 10:45 a.m. Kids from grades K through three will meet in the Sonoran Room between 11:30 and 11:45 a.m. and their hunt will start at 11:45 a.m. For more information, contact Doug at 207-667-0234.
A Softball Skills Clinic for kids of all ages will be hosted by the SaddleBrooke Senior Softball Association on Saturday, April 4 at the HOA 2 Softball Field. Pre-teens should arrive at 1:00 p.m. Teenagers should arrive at 2:00 p.m. For more information contact Ed at 818-0194.
