Good afternoon to all Americans from sea to shining sea.

Last month, I congratulated our team for bringing home the Catalina Cup Trophy. I can’t over emphasize what a grand accomplishment this is. Each month, SaddleBrooke sent a team of six players to compete in match play against a different club in the area. Since there are 11clubs, that’s 10tournaments. Our team won first in gross points, third in net points and first overall. This is a grueling— yes, I said grueling— competition that takes dedication and hard work from every member. Congratulations to every one of our teammates. That’s a fantastic trophy!

One Tuesday a month is designated as our Ace Day competition. Players who participate in the first four Ace Days of 2019 also compete to represent SaddleBrooke in the State Medallion Tournament, held in January of 2020. Congratulations to Shawna Ianson who won over all gross and Debbie Green who topped the field with her low net score.

Next month, I’ll try to catch up on all the aces and holes-in-one.
