The SaddleBrooke Table Tennis Club held a spring potluck social at the lovely home of Ruth and Terry Caldwell in April. It is the second time they have graciously offered their home for a club social, and the SBTTC thanks them for their hospitality.
About 40 members and their guests enjoyed lively conversations, beautiful weather and great homemade food. The highlight of the meal was deliciously grilled chicken, brats and burgers prepared by chef Dan Plattner.
Club President Susan Schwartz presented door prizes to three winners. Club member Gary Stithem’s wife, Jean, and Fred Flanagan each won a table tennis ball donated by Terry Caldwell that was autographed by table tennis professional, Scott Preiss. This will inspire them to play like a pro when they use the balls! The other prize was a table tennis medal donated by Jeb Benter, which was won and then proudly worn by Aaron Schoenberg.
The club tentatively plans to hold another social in the fall.
