SaddleBrooke Swim Club Mardi Gras social

Some people just like to have fun. If you are one of them, check out the SaddleBrooke Swim Club. A new, updated, comprehensive website is available online at saddlebrookeswimclub.org. On the website you will find events, clinics, instructors, announcements, training schedules and much more. The new website was one of the topics discussed at the Swim Club’s recent winter social.

The main purpose of the winter social, however, was fun and food. There was a Mardi Gras theme and some of the more adventurous club members arrived in masks, feathered headdresses, beads and other finery, including cowboy gear because of rodeo week. Everyone brought food to share from appetizers to desserts and everything in between. The offerings were excellent with no leftovers from this function.

Music was provided by the Swim Club’s very own Digital DJ, aka Steve Truesdale, and the lively atmosphere was aided further by a first-rate bartending crew that mixed and dispensed primo margaritas. Other adult beverages and soft drinks also were available. For fun, food, fitness and good times it is hard to beat the activities of the SaddleBrooke Swim Club.

By the way, if you would like to learn to swim or improve your swimming ability, the Swim Club’s twelfth “Let’s Swim” clinic begins on March 27 and will be held on Wednesdays and Fridays at 10:00 a.m. for a total of six, one-hour sessions. Excellent coaches will be on the swim deck to give you guidance. This popular clinic has brought many new members to the Swim Club. Come swim with us and have some fun!
