SaddleBrooke Sunrise Rotary Welcomes New Member Bob Lamar
Christianne Dettmann
The SaddleBrooke Sunrise Rotary Club proudly welcomed new member Bob Lamar on Jan. 16. Bob, his lovely wife, and their West Highland terrier settled in SaddleBrooke Ranch back in 2015. Bob is no stranger to Rotary service, having been involved previously with the Rotary Club of Leavenworth, Wash., for six years. Upon discovering the Sunrise Club, Bob started volunteering almost immediately with the Little Free Library program and the Tri-Community Food Bank in Mammoth. He looks forward to many more ways to give of his time and talents with this service-oriented club and its members who are thrilled to have him on board!
If you are interested in learning more about the club, too, please email us at saddlebrookesunriserotary@gmail.com.
SaddleBrooke Sunrise Rotary—A Valued Partner of the Tri-Community Food Bank
Marilee Jensen
The SaddleBrooke Sunrise Rotary (SBSR) is a valued partner of the Tri-Community Food Bank (TCFB). For several years, SBSR members have been assisting TCFB several times a month helping to unload large food deliveries from the United Food Bank in Mesa and Bashas’ grocery store. These volunteers help unpack pallets and boxes, date items, and stock products in our freezers, coolers, the main storeroom and warehouse. In addition to the regularly scheduled assistance that SBSR members provide, they are always willing to assist the Food Bank with special requests.
We want to extend a huge thank you to the SaddleBrooke Sunrise Rotary and their wonderful members who have and continue to support the TCFB in carrying out their mission “Feeding Neighbors in Southeast Pinal County.” We don’t know what we would do without them!
The Tri-Community Food Bank is an all-volunteer organization, spending zero funds on administration costs. The TCFB serves the communities of Oracle, San Manuel, Mammoth, Dudleyville, and Aravaipa. It is located at 108 W. Redwood Drive in Mammoth and is open five days a week (Monday through Thursday and Saturday) from 9 a.m. to noon. The TCFB is an IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation and an Arizona Qualifying Charitable Organization (20463).
To contact the TCFB or to volunteer, please call 520-487-2010 during business hours. The mailing address is P.O. Box 38, Mammoth, AZ 85618.
