SaddleBrooke RV Trip to Puerto Peñasco

Buckie Crabb

Lots of planning is necessary when 24 SaddleBrooke RV members head “south of the border” for a week. We are proud owners of Class A, B, B+, C, 5th wheels, and trailers. New by-laws allow owners, past owners, and non-owners to belong. Even if you are just “interested,” you are welcome to join in the fun.

Our big RV park in Rocky Point offered a beautiful open-air palapa and a nice big party room. This kept us out of inclement weather and offered air conditioning and large restrooms. Our campground and boat trip offered us the possibility of many water sports, biking, and, of course, dining out. We enjoyed our own great SaddleBrooke cooks, too, for our nightly potluck gatherings.

One day was set aside to rent a boat and crew. We snorkeled, fished, swam, had a sea lunch, and visited a bird sanctuary.

There is no foot traffic allowed. You can swim with dolphins and seals and view up-close many interesting and beautiful fish.

There were no serious issues entering Mexico, but when re-entering the USA, we encountered some Mexican farmers who blocked our re-entry by an hour or so. The restaurants welcomed credit cards and, of course, American dollars. A few accepted pesos.

If you are interested in organized RV trips, we currently have openings for 2026 trips. Please contact a member or check out our website at SBRV.clubexpress.com for more information.
