SaddleBrooke Rotarians recognize area students

Mammoth – San Manuel Junior/Senior High School students with the Chair of the Student of the Month program, Joe Dylewski.

Each month, members of the Rotary Club of SaddleBrooke recognize a student from the Mammoth – San Manuel Junior/Senior High School. The club works with School Counselor, Dave Jungbluth, to select a “Student of the Month” who represents excellence in scholastics, leadership and character. What a joy it is for us to get to know these amazing students.

The students are celebrated by the club at one of our luncheons. As it would be difficult to be the lone high school student in a room full of adults, we celebrate two award winners every other month. That way two students attend a Rotary meeting with their school counselor.

There are several perks to being selected Student of the Month. In addition to being treated to lunch at the SaddleBrooke Clubhouse and missing school lunch, students receive a special certificate and a cash award. They also speak before the club. Each time we recognize our Students of the Month, we are just amazed at the high caliber of these students.

The Rotary Club of SaddleBrooke feels that it’s important to recognize achievers in our schools. So often we hear the negatives about our future generations but not the positives. The club wants to recognize the positive qualities of scholarship, leadership and character in our future generations.
