SaddleBrooke resident sworn in as Pinal County Judge

On January 2 SaddleBrooke resident Nancy Discher was sworn in for a four year term as Judge of the Oracle Justice Court, Precinct 5. Pinal County which includes SaddleBrooke, Eagle Crest, SaddleBrooke Ranch and Oracle.

Judge Shawn Babeu, brother of Sheriff Paul Babeu, performed the ceremony. Judge Babu had mentored Judge Nancy extensively over the summer to prepare her for the position.

After receiving her Nursing Degree, followed by a Master’s Degree in the Science of Management, Nancy was selected Medical Center Executive to open one of the nation’s first free oncology centers and, for this work, was selected as one of America’s ten top health care executives by the American Hospital Association Commission.

Following her healthcare career, Mrs. Discher was selected by two Fortune 500 companies to assist in executive consulting roles and attended a yearlong program of study at the IBM Advanced Business Institute.

Most recently Nancy was employed by the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office to facilitate the renegotiating of the ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) contract.
