Annual Fashion Show and Luncheon
Marcy Vernon
Save the dates! Wednesday, Nov. 10 and Thursday, Nov. 11 are this year’s dates for SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue Network’s annual fashion show and luncheon. Calle Rose will be returning with her beautiful line of clothing and accessories. The ticket price for the luncheon and style show is $25, and tickets for both days go on sale on Wednesday, Sept. 15 at 9 a.m. in the SaddleBrooke One lobby. Anyone buying more than eight tickets will be required to submit a list of attendees and conduct it in one transaction using their house account or a check. The luncheon menu consists of pork loin with apple chutney, green chili sweet potato, and vegetable du jour. This event supports SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue Network in its efforts to assist many homeless animals with their medical care and in finding them forever homes.
Help us celebrate our 10th anniversary! Mark your calendars, ladies! This year we will also be offering raffle tickets for our 50/25/25 raffle. They will be available on the ticket sale day for your convenience, as well as each day of the luncheon—six for $5, 15 for $10, and 35 for $20. Bring those 20-dollar bills, ladies. The more you buy, the bigger the chance to win. We will have separate tables set up for Wednesday and Thursday attendance. See you in September!

Upcoming Pet Food Drive
Marcy Vernon
SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue Network will hold a pet food drive on Friday, Sept. 17, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the SaddleBrooke One parking lot by the bocce courts. This pet food drive will benefit the Pets in Need Action League (P.I.N.A.L.) public pet food bank, which serves all of Pinal County. In 2020, this event was cancelled due to COVID-19. Lynda Nesbitt, president of P.I.N.A.L., explained that in 2019 alone, they distributed over 8,500 lbs. of pet food, and they serve approximately 100 low income and under-served Pinal County residents each month, who are screened for income qualifications. They also assist with neutering and spaying options. P.I.N.A.L. operates strictly on grants and donations, and with COVID continuing to impact many families’ incomes, this year’s pet food drive will be even more important. Their goal is keeping families and pets together. Mark your calendars to drop off your pet food or a cash donation!
