Each month at the SaddleBrooke Paper Crafters meeting, members are given the opportunity to use their paper crafting skills and creativity to make two different types of cards: a Challenge card and/or a MOJO card. Now you are probably asking, what in the world is that?
When a member of the club decides to take on the Challenge card, they must use each piece of paper and the supplies that are provided for them in a prepackaged envelope and create a card. At the following meeting, members who took on the challenge are asked to display his/her card to the other members. Club members are always amazed by all the different ideas, styles, and designs that members use to create a unique and original greeting card using the same materials.
Mojo cards are another opportunity to display ideas and talents. With the Mojo card, members are given a pre-selected topic, which should be the subject of the card. Those who participate with the Mojo use their own paper and supplies to design the card. This allows a wide range of creativity and style around the same subject.
The Mojo that was given to members this month was “Let’s Get Artsy or Crafty.” At the following month’s meeting, participants share their Mojo card.
As a bonus, every member who participates with the Challenge or Mojo cards is eligible to enter into a drawing for a small prize. But the big winners are the members who get to share the interesting ideas and creative thought process that these two interactive activities provide.
