SaddleBrooke Lady Niners swing into spring

On February 13, the Saddlebrooke Lady Niners traveled “across the Brooke” to join our “sisters” at MountainView in our annual Across the Brooke Tournament. This year, the ladies of MVPLN hosted the event, so if you read their article, you can see the results of this fun event – always an enjoyable day!

March promises to hold even more for our ladies here at SaddleBrooke. We will hold our annual Club Championship on March 6, 8, and 13. This is a low gross tournament, so we are grouped in flights according to handicap to play all three courses. At the conclusion of this three-day event, we will have determined our new Club Champion for 2018.

Shortly after this competition, we will hold our big event of the year – the Aloha Invitational. We have invited teams from 32 different clubs all around the Tucson area, and we’ll have participants from as far away as Phoenix and Green Valley. Our chairperson, Robbie Summers, has had her committee hard at work putting together this wonderful event. We look forward to our usual large turnout for the putting games, breakfast, raffle prizes, entertainment and fashion show, and of course, a fun day of golf with ladies from all different clubs pairing up with our ladies.

April will bring us more activities with our State Medallion, as well as our annual Ladies Choice Tournament. This is always a favorite, where each of our Niners pairs up with a gentleman who is not her husband or significant other to play a fun and competitive round. Of course, we’re able to put on such quality tournaments and outings thanks in large part to our sponsors – Coyote Golf and Golf Cars of Arizona. We truly want to thank these two businesses for their generous contributions to our membership!
