Congratulations to our 2025 Club Champion Marilyn Fisher. Marilyn played a steady game for the three matches, winning her the coveted title of Club Champion. Way to go, Marilyn! The Club Championship is a multi-day competition. There is one winner (over the field of competitors). This low gross winner is the Club Champion. Other notables for Stableford points were Kathy DeMerritt, Theresa Mares, Hedy Grysan, and Cheryl Hays. Seventeen ladies played in the three-day, club-sponsored tournament.
Sixty-four men and ladies united on a beautiful Tuesday morning on March 4. The 16 teams mixed it up for a fun-filled day. Competition was close, with the winning team of S. Kotke, C. Witt, J. Boettner, and S. Schliepsiek coming in with a 25.89. Six teams were in the $$$. Second place: D. Jetsma, C Larson, G Wainwright, L. O’Donald; 3rd place: T. Johnson, L. Ellingson, T Clulley, D. Hood; 4th place: L. Minney, T. Mares, J. Pfeifer, M. Swartzberg; 5th place: D. Fries, D. Mazzarella, D. Taylor, N. Wyllie; 6th place: G. Diment, C. Hauth, M. Fleming, T. Pohnert. A cash raffle and delicious lunch ended the day perfectly. A big thank you to the Men’s Niners for hosting this year’s event.
Outside invitationals are scheduled with events on April 3 and 15. The Views hosted their invitational on April 3, and SaddleBrooke Ranch will host on April 15. The Ladies Choice is April 22. “Let’s Go to Mexico” is the theme, with no airfare or TSA involvement! Baja is right here in SaddleBrooke. Ladies invite a gentleman to play in this nine-hole event followed by prizes and lunch. It is always a fun and well-attended play day.
