SaddleBrooke Ceramics Club has re-opening celebration

15Saturday, November 12 was the grand re-opening of the SaddleBrooke Ceramics Club. We were delighted with the people who came through who can now see how we work and what we do. We were surprised to hear many people didn’t even know we were here. We were closed all summer and returned to a new, clean crisp room. All of our molds are up for display and we are ready to get back to work. We are located in the Arts and Crafts Building in HOA 2 next to the Administration Building. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., with the exception of Thursday we are open from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. We will have a beginners’ class after the first of the year so if you are interested come by and sign up and talk to the day monitor for information. We have several new classes starting right away and a special class after the first of the year with our Slab Roller. In the beginners’ class you learn the painting techniques and work with our outstanding teachers. We are blessed with lots of experienced ladies who have been certified with some of the best teachers in the country. I did this many, many years ago and, after taking the beginners’ class, I felt like I never left.

All of our staff teachers, pourers and monitors are volunteers and you can get as involved as you like. It is a great group of ladies (and a few men) and we have a great time. If you have any questions please feel free to come by and visit anytime we are open. We are looking forward to a fabulous 2017.
