“RUMORS” Is Coming to SaddleBrooke!

Or is it rumors are coming to SaddleBrooke? No, not the juicy gossip about your neighbors that spreads like wildfire. Shawne Cryderman, director, is thrilled to present Neil Simon’s RUMORS, Community Circle Players (CCP) Spring 2026 dinner theatre production. Talented actors are already hard at work learning their lines and developing their characters. The play is about four couples who attend an anniversary party where the host has just had an accident. As the guests arrive, they try to cover up the incident, leading to a series of escalating misunderstandings and mistaken identity. The play has been described as “brilliant satire,” “smart and fast- paced,” and “comedic chaos.”

RUMORS will have big shoes to fill following the success of November’s production of Five Shorts with Shortcake. CCP gave our theatre patrons a new and different experience with five separate plays. The performances were served up with dessert, and there were two matinees. Some of the comments from attendees included “I laughed out loud then needed a tissue. Great plays.” “Everyone did really good work.” “I was gobsmacked by how I was affected.”

RUMORS’ performances are Feb. 27, 28, and March 1, 3, 4, 5, (dark on March 2) at 6 p.m. in the MountainView Ballroom. The evening includes a three-course dinner, no-host bar, and hilarious entertainment. Gather a few friends to share your table and mark your calendars now!
