Thank you to everyone who helped to make our P.E.O. Fashion Show and Luncheon sponsored by Chapter EP such a success. A special thank you goes out to the 300 women who supported this fundraiser by purchasing tickets. The Ways and Means Committee chaired by Dianne Ashby put in many hours of time to ensure the success of this yearly event and is applauded for their efforts.
The luncheon served in the MountainView Ballroom was delicious. Prior to the showing of the outfits, guests were treated to a pre-show entertainment by The Silver Belles featuring dances to go along with this year’s theme of Rockin’ Round the World. What a wonderful way to kick off the show! The outfits shown by Nadine’s Desert Fashions of Oro Valley were very popular. The attendees were excited to go visit the store so they could shop and use their discount coupons that were given to all attendees by Nadine Reed. The models rocked the stage as they traversed the runway to the narration of Nadine and the piano music of Pat Kaltenberger.
Our corporate sponsor Bon Voyage Travel had agents in attendance to distribute handouts and to answer questions. Many of us are excited to plan our next trip with them. Our other corporate sponsor, Navigation Retirement Group, offered information to help attendees with future planning. Navigation also held a raffle for a gift certificate to Nadine’s. It is with the sales of tickets and the generous support of our corporate sponsors Bon Voyage Travel and Navigation Retirement Group that we are able to make a very substantial donation to the P.E.O. philanthropic projects. P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization) provides several educational opportunities for women. We do this by offering scholarships, grants, awards and loans to help women enhance their lives through learning.
