Recently the Catalina Timewalkers toured Barrio Bread, located in the historical Broadway Village. Mr. Guerra indicated his Artisan breads are made from locally grown organic high-quality grains such as Durham and White Sonora. It was exciting to see the workers making bread, preparing loaves to rise and ready to bake. Over the years, Mr. Guerra said he learned how to work with his medium and that his bread is an expression of everything he learned. With a smile he expressed heartfelt feelings about his outstanding breads. The tour ended with purchases of delicious breads!
The Catalina Timewalkers welcomes new members. We meet on the third Friday from October through May. Exceptions are December and May when we meet on the second Friday of the month. The purpose of Questors is to stimulate the appreciation of antiques and collectibles through study and to encourage the restoration and preservation of historic landmarks.
