The Catalina Timewalkers Chapter of Questers enjoyed high tea at Tea on the Town in Marana, AZ on December 8, 2016. A typical English High Tea was served by owner and Chef Nicky Bantock that featured four courses of seasonal fresh fruit, sandwiches, scones, and sweets paired with different teas. Throughout the tea, Nicky spoke about the origins of tea, where they are now being grown including South Carolina and the UK. She discussed how to brew tea and the differences of each of the teas we tasted. The beautiful setting both inside and outside of her home are unique. Marilyn Bertke and Marianne Lyons were the hosts for the event.
The Catalina Timewalkers welcomes new members. We meet on the third Friday from October through May. Exceptions are December and May when we meet on the second Friday of the month. The purpose of Questers is to stimulate the appreciation of antiques and collectibles through study and to encourage the restoration and preservation of historic landmarks.
