On Sunday, October 25 the SaddleBrooke Freethinkers’ monthly meeting will be a potluck brunch to kick off the 2015-1016 season. Burning Mesquite will provide lively lyrics and musical entertainment. This newly formed local Tucson duo of Lisa Darlene and PauJo Mar brings an edgy and intense musical experience reminiscent of some 60s songs rallying for social justice and equal rights. The duo’s original material is sometimes humorous, sometimes serious and always thought provoking.

Open to all, this fun gathering is at the HOA 1 Activity Center. Set-up is at 9:45 a.m. with brunch at 10:00 a.m. and the live musical performance at 10:30 a.m. While attendance is free and open to members and non-members, we ask for a $2 donation to defray clean-up costs. And since it’s a potluck brunch, please bring a dish to share.

According to our organizational charter, we “believe in the responsible search for truth and meaning and in the application of reason and science to the understanding of the universe and the solving of human problems. We believe that tolerance, compassion, equity and civility should characterize the interaction among peace loving persons and organizations.”

The SaddleBrooke Freethinkers usually meet on the fourth Sunday morning each month, October to April. For information about SaddleBrooke FreeThinkers, announcements of upcoming programs and summaries of past programs, go to www. sbfreethinkers.wordpress.com.
