Congratulations, SaddleBrooke pet lovers! Entering our sixth year, you’ve saved thousands of Tucson’s homeless pets! In 2016 we placed 95 pets, raised $33,080 and volunteered almost 5000 hours! Our generous volunteers did all this for under $500!
This year was our best yet bringing the Network’s five year total donation to Tucson Pet Rescue to $89,000! But there’s work to be done. At this writing, Pima Animal Care Center is caring for 750 plus pets. Hundreds more wait in rescue.
In 2016, POWER of US fundraiser donations and other efforts raised $10,000, powerfully used as a matching grant to generate $12,050 from Tucson residents in the PAYOFF VET DEBT campaign. Because of your support, 14 rescues that had a 2015 combined vet bill of $300,000 plus received $22,050 to PAYOFF VET DEBT!
No animal is adopted until a vet bill gets paid and medical bills are rescues’ largest expense. And, they depend completely on donations to meet this need. With skyrocketing vet costs, we believe paying vet debt is the best way to help local pet rescue. So 100% of donations to the POWER of US fundraiser will support homeless animals’ medical needs!
Our goal is to raise $10,000 by February 28.
