Linda Schreiber
Joanne Fairweather of SaddleBrooke, President of Chapter FF P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization) of Tucson, recently returned from Flagstaff where she enjoyed being a voting delegate for the 83rd Arizona State Chapter Convention. Linda Schreiber, past president of Chapter FF, was also seated as a voting member of convention, serving as Arizona State Chapter Nominating Chairman and Arizona State Chapter South Area Cottey College Chairman.
Received were convention awards for successful work with students in fulfilling the official mission statement of P.E.O. Chapter FF shared in celebrating their earned awards when a delegate report was presented by Chapter FF President Joanne Fairweather.
More than 500 were registered to attend the three day event held at Little America.
During convention delegates and visitors heard updates on the six international and three Arizona philanthropies.
In attendance was Maria T. Baseggio, President of International Chapter, P.E.O., DesMoines, Iowa. Jacqueline Dawson, Chapter BL, Scottsdale, was installed as State President for 2014 – 2015.
The P.E.O. Sisterhood, founded January 21, 1869, at Iowa Wesleyan College, Mount Pleasant, Iowa, is a philanthropic and educational organization interested in bringing to women increased opportunities for higher education. There are approximately 6,000 local chapters in the United States and Canada with nearly a quarter of a million active members.
