Annie Quinn-Diment
Meet Lucky. Lucky was a scruffy little terrier mix picked up as a stray—underweight, anxious, and out of options in today’s overcrowded shelter system. Thanks to support from Friends of Pinal Pets, he received consistent meals, a quiet place to rest, and the opportunity to be adopted. At the shelter, a retired couple spotted him and fell for his quirky grin and hopeful eyes. Today, Lucky enjoys sunny naps, afternoon strolls, and the kind of love every rescued pet dreams of. Every single contribution helps rescues and shelters provide care, as space is tight and resources are stretched.
You can help make stories like Lucky’s possible.
Join us on Wednesday, Nov. 5, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cadillac Chaparral Steakhouse for Paws for a Cause, a lively evening of delicious food, live music, a silent auction, and big-hearted giving. Hosted by the SaddleBrooke Dog Park, this annual fundraiser supports Friends of Pinal Pets and many animals like Lucky.
A Cause Worth Barking About
Friends of Pinal Pets is a nonprofit that supports Pinal County Animal Care and Control and local rescue partners by funding veterinary care, food, training, equipment, and supplies. With shelters often stretched well beyond capacity, your support helps provide the resources that homeless pets urgently need. To learn more about this organization, visit www.friendsofpinal.org.
The $30 ticket provides attendees with a full dinner, live music, and access to a silent auction offering handcrafted goods, gift cards, and other valuable items generously donated by local clubs, businesses, and community members. If you can contribute an auction item or gift card, please contact Nadine McAfee at 702-672-1050 or nadinemm2018@gmail.com. We welcome and appreciate artistic contributions as well.
Tickets go on sale starting Sept. 1 and cost $30. Be sure to purchase your tickets for an evening of good food, music, and friends while supporting a meaningful cause. Each dollar raised will help shelters and rescues provide care for needy pets awaiting permanent homes. You can purchase a ticket from any of the following:
