These December holidays are a wonderful time of year with beautiful music, fancy parties, pretty lights and, of course, sharing lots of fellowship and food <ahem>, with good friends and family! Remember, amidst your busy December schedule, that on Thursday, January 11 tickets for the 2018 P.E.O. Chapter EP’s Fashion Show and Luncheon will go on sale. The tickets for the March 9, 2018 event can be purchased for $32, per person, at the SaddleBrooke HOA Two Administration Office located in the MountainView complex. Be sure to make yourself a note as this annual event sells out quickly.
On March 9, 2018 the doors of SaddleBrooke MountainView Ballroom will open for seating at 11:00 a.m. and a luncheon of citrus salad with chicken will be served at 11:30 a.m. Following lunch we will be treated to a musical interlude with the harmony of the SaddleBrooke Barbershop Chorus.
Stein Mart, which has been serving American families for over 100 years, is our partner for this year’s Harmony of Sisterhood Fashion Show and they will be presenting their fresh and beautiful fashions for spring. Our P.E.O. Chapter EP sisters are working with them to produce a show that you will not want to miss.
The proceeds of this event will be used to support the scholarships, grants and awards given by Philanthropic Education Organization (P.E.O.) to women, from high school through adulthood, who wish to further their education. The grants, loans and scholarships are awarded to deserving women in the U.S.A. as well as internationally. The P.E.O. Sisterhood also supports Cottey College, a liberal arts college for women located in Nevada, Missouri.
P.E.O. chapters support the educational and charitable funds of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, but are not classified as charitable by the IRS. Therefore, donations to individual chapters do not meet the IRS requirements for a charitable income tax deduction. P.E.O. shall not be liable in any way for any goods and services supplied by third-party vendors or public establishments.
