There is nothing more important to good governance of an HOA than electing top-quality individuals to the HOA board of directors. At its Community Information meeting on Friday, Oct. 20 (please note the change from the previous date of Oct. 11), United SaddleBrooke will discuss the upcoming HOA board elections and provide a perspective on choosing the best candidates. The meeting will be held in the Mesquite Catalina Room (SaddleBrooke TWO) at 2:30 p.m. All SaddleBrooke residents are invited to attend.
Noteworthy, too, is that elections for the United SaddleBrooke Board of Directors will be held in November. All United SaddleBrooke members were invited to submit self-nomination forms to run for the United SaddleBrooke board elections. Six board seats need to be filled. All self-nomination forms were due no later than midnight on Oct. 5.
In a recent survey, 61% of retirees said they were more afraid of running out of money than of dying. As a public service, United SaddleBrooke is sponsoring Bill Bengen, the world-renowned financial advisor, in a lecture titled “The 4% Rule and Your Retirement.” The program will take place at the DesertView Theater on Oct. 24 at 1 p.m. and will be open to all SaddleBrooke residents without charge. Mr. Bengen will entertain questions from the audience at the conclusion of his presentation. RSVP to attend this important event at www.unitedsaddlebrooke.org/events. Visit the “Events” tab to record your attendance.
