News From GLAAS: Special Presentation: Gender in the 20th Century

On March 29 Gays, Lesbians and Allies at SaddleBrooke (GLAAS) will welcome Dr. Tracey Kurtzman, an esteemed Tucson pediatrician, to speak on the topic of caring for transgender children and their families.

Dr. Kurtzman practices at El Rio Health, here in Tucson, where she cares for young patients and also teaches medical students and resident physicians in training. A native Arizonan, Dr. Kurtzman received her undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Arizona, followed by residency training in pediatrics at the University of Virginia.

Dr. Kurtzman has been a strong ally of the LGBTQ+ community for more than three decades. Since 2015, she has specialized in gender-affirming care of transgender youth.

Dr. Kurtzman is happily married with two grown children of her own, two old dogs, and numerous struggling house plants. She is proud to live in Tucson surrounded by the beauty of the Sonoran Desert.
