New Club: SaddleBrooke Amateur Radio Club

Radio Club Breakfast at the RoadRunner Grill

Ed Larsen, KI6R

The SaddleBrooke Amateur Radio Club was formed in June. The goals of the club are to serve the SaddleBrooke community with a non-commercial radio communications service in times of disaster or public need, advance operator skills in radio communications and technical aspects of the art, and promote fellowship and mentoring within the SaddleBrooke amateur radio community.

We currently have 45 members from SaddleBrooke One and SaddleBrooke TWO and 57 total in the club. Meetings are once per month, and we also have breakfast gatherings to talk radio. The club is open to everyone, so if you’d like to find out more about amateur radio, join us at a meeting. The next meeting is at 2 p.m. on Aug. 16 at the SaddleBrooke TWO MountainView Clubhouse in the Sonoran Room. The program will be “Stealth Antennas,” by Carl Foster, KB7AZ.

Meeting dates and times can be found at the SaddleBrooke One or SaddleBrooke TWO clubs/groups pages or at the website sites.google.com/view/saddlebrookearc.
