New Art Salon Underway—Please Join Us!

Connie Kotke, Publicity Chair

Our new Art Salon, sponsored by the SaddleBrooke Fine Arts Guild, kicked off on Sept. 21 with a lively discussion hosted by Janet Frost on the topic, “What Is Art?” Janet would be the first member of the guild to insist that there’s no one, agreed-upon definition of art. People create art for many different reasons, and art has evolved significantly over the centuries. In essence, art is something that stirs our emotions.

The Art Salon is a place where like-minded artists come together in a friendly environment to bond, network, and learn from one another. Meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month from 10:30 a.m. to noon in the Topaz Room at the Arts & Crafts Center adjacent to the MountainView Country Club. All SaddleBrooke residents are invited to join, even if you’re not a current member of the Fine Arts Guild. There is no charge for the gatherings.
