We kicked off the season with our Members Fall Picnic at Catalina State Park on Oct. 9. A park volunteer told our group of 36 the history of Catalina State Park after we enjoyed Subway sandwiches and cake. It was a lovely day, despite the clouds, as the temperature was a perfect 82 degrees. Don’t you love October?

The upcoming program list with details is on our website, but below is a quick overview. The October program was called “Birds and Birding in Southern Arizona,” by Jeff Babson, a favorite speaker for the Nature Club.

• Nov. 10 2025: “The Life of Black Bears,” by Sandy Reith, at 3:30 p.m. in the MountainView West Ballroom

• Dec. 8, 2025: “What Are Those Holes in the Ground,” by Jerry Schudda and Tom Dowell, at 3:30 p.m. Note: This will be in the main ballroom.

• Jan. 12, 2026: “All About Saguaros,” by Jared Suydam, at 3:30 p.m. in the MountainView West Ballroom
