The MountainView Lady Putters (MVLP) had their annual Christmas luncheon on Dec. 8 in the SaddleBrooke TWO ballroom. After a brief meeting, the ladies were entertained with beautiful holiday music by the Flute Loops, led by Lillian Porter. The Flute Loops are a subset of the Tucson Flute Club, which is one of the oldest flute clubs in the U.S. The Putters then sang a few carols, accompanied by our very own piano accompanist Joann Wilbour. Door prizes and a raffle concluded the luncheon. Teddy bears were collected for a donation to the Golder Ranch Fire Department for children who experience trauma during emergencies. This is the second year that MVLP has donated for this cause.
This year’s theme was “All That Glitters Is Gold,” and we certainly had a dazzling afternoon of entertainment, prizes, and a delicious meal prepared by the MountainView Bar & Grill.
The MVLP shine with joy, camaraderie, and support. As our president recently stated, “MVLP is more than a membership—it’s a community of friends who support one another and make a difference together.”
Happy New Year to everyone from the MountainView Lady Putters!
