Pat Dolan is an artist who weaves her Shamanic path into her work and teaching. She is currently doing a series of power animal portraits in pastel for clients based on her power animal retrievals that she has done for them. Dolan will present Stalking The Sacred. An artist sets out on a life-long spiritual journey, determined to unearth what happens when people die and in the process discover how to connect to the spirit world. The presentation, sponsored by the Metaphysical Study Group (MSG), will be held on March 14 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. In the SaddleBrooke One Activities Center 64518 E. Galveston.
Additionally, Pat Dolan will present a workshop the next day, March 15 from 8:00-11:00 a.m. in the SaddleBrooke One Activities Center. Discover who your power animal is and how to communicate with each other. Ten to fifteen participants will begin the process of meeting their power animals and learning how to call upon them to help in our inner and outer worlds. Pat is a member of Rancho Linda Vista, an art community in Oracle, Arizona where she lived for fifteen years. While living at the Ranch she was the president of the Board and created the Visiting Artist Program that hosts artists from around the world for artist residencies.
Pat completed The Foundation for Shamanic Studies’ three-year program in Advanced Initiations in Shamanism, and Shamanic Healing, and was certified as a spiritual director from the Tacheria School of Spiritual Direction. These experiences strongly inform her shamanic spiritual work as well as her artwork. Her travels to the Ecuadorian and Peruvian rainforest have impacted the direction of her work. She is now interested in using her work to express her connection and respect for the earth and all her creatures.
She recently published her first book, Stalking the Sacred, that she illustrated with her ink drawings of animals. Stalking the Sacred is a breathtaking memoir that dares to peer behind the veil of death. She guides readers along with her on her spiritual quest of discovery. Written with candor, humor, and warmth, Stalking the Sacred drops all pretenses and receives you into a reality where talking to animals, trees, or the dead is commonplace.
What is metaphysics? It is a branch of philosophy which systematically investigates the nature of first principles and problems of ultimate reality, including the study of being (ontology) and the study of the structure of the Universe (cosmology).
MSG is an exploratory group of like-minded individuals getting together to discuss spiritual and enlightenment topics. MSG presents programs of interest and is open to everyone.
