2015 Champ Janey Clausen

The MPWGA Club Championship was held November 16 and 17. The first day competition was held at the Preserve and the weather conditions were very challenging. The weather was cold and the precipitation came in many forms – rain, sleet and maybe a hint of snow. Only three golfers were able to shoot in the 80s that day – Holly Lyon, Peg Tomlinson and Denny Dalton.
The next day competition was held at MountainView and the weather was much more cooperative. In a heated battle, Holly Lyon and Janey Clausen ended up tied after the round (with scores of 174 total). This necessitated a sudden death playoff. On the first hole of sudden death, Janey chipped in to win the 2015 Championship. Congratulations to her and all who competed.
