On April 10 members of the MountainView/Preserve Lady Niners (MPLN) visited the University of Arizona Cancer Center (UACC). This visit was to present the contributions from their league members and their guests from SaddleBrooke One at the annual Across the Brooke event earlier this year.
The contributions were designated for the Skin Cancer Institute, part of the UACC’s programs for research to prevent and cure cancer.
The MPLN members were privileged to meet with Dr. Georg Wondrak, Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology. In his laboratory he highlighted various research projects to prevent or target skin cancer treatments. Elaine Cunningham, Senior Director of Development, hosted the group and received the monetary contributions on behalf of the UACC.
