March 30 the MountainView Lady Putters hosted a putting event with the Quail Creek Putters on the green at MountainView Golf Course. Ninety women in 18 teams of five putters took to the green for a wonderful morning of putting and conversation under beautiful skies. Following putting, a delicious luncheon was served and awards and gift drawings were held.
Winning Teams:
First place with 215, Team 3: Colleen Merrill, Marci Yenerich, Ginnie Schoepf, Mary Anderson and Jo Ann Evans
Second place with 219, Team 16: Patricia Davis, Pat Wells, Judy Weyers, Raye Cobb and Margaret Morris
Third place with 221, Team 6: Bev Wake, Candy Urbanik, Judy Hayes, Betty Farrow and Shirley Macuga
Congratulations to the winning teams. The month of April continued with weekly putting. On April 13 our monthly winners for March were announced and awards presented. Recognized for their outstanding play in March were Lou Ann Garvin Tiger Award (low net) – Judy Conklin 32.7; Roadrunner Award (low gross) – Estella Hofstetter 37.3; Hole In Wonder – Judy Matchett 9.
The April Happy Trails luncheon was a final chance to bid farewell to our many snowbird members. We look forward to their return to SaddleBrooke in the fall. Our final putting session until fall 2015 wasApril 27 and was a special event with putting, lunch, awards and gifts. Though there will not be any weekly putting while the MountainView Golf Course undergoes renovation, our monthly luncheons will continue through the summer. The luncheons will be a good opportunity to keep in touch with our fellow putters.
