On Wednesday, August 20, 2014, representatives of the MountainView Lady Putters presented a generous donation to teachers at Mountain Vista School in Oracle. Each year the members of MVLP vote to select a charity as the main focus of their fundraising activities throughout the year. For 2014, the teachers of Oracle School District were selected. Too often teachers spend out of pocket money to supplement school-provided allowances to stock their classrooms with supplies and accessories to provide students with an environment that is welcoming and conducive to learning. Our donation will allow the teachers of the 460 students at Mountain Vista School some flexibility in outfitting their individual classrooms.
In other news, our annual fashion show luncheon will be held on September 8, 2014. Fashions from Catalina Ranch House will be featured. This is a favorite for members that you will not want to miss.
Due to the MountainView Course closure for overseeding, there will be no putting from September 15 until October 20. Putting resumes on October 27, 2014, at our winter tee times, 8:45 and 10:15 a.m. Weekly news blasts will be sent out to members during overseeding to provide updates to the closure schedule.
