Raye Cobb, EJ Snearly, and Dar Pitman

Barb Wallace

Putting awards for the month were announced at the December luncheon. The Roadrunner of the Month (low gross) trophy was presented to Lori Bolme, the Lou Ann Garvin Tiger of the Month (low net) trophy was presented to Laura Sensabaugh, and the Hole-in-Wonder trophy was awarded to Pat Wells. Congratulations to the recipients of these traveling awards!

The MountainView Lady Putters (MVLP) recognize the talents and contributions of individuals each month. It’s what makes our group function so well! Three dedicated members were recognized for their commitment and hard work at our November luncheon. Raye Cobb has been a member since 2007. She assists with course set-up, take-down, and scoring. Most importantly, she’s our photographer and historian for the group. Her knowledge of Putters’ protocol is invaluable. EJ Snearly has been a past president, vice president, writer/photographer, committee volunteer, and overall cheerleader for the group. She was commended for her upbeat spirit and willingness to do whatever is needed for the organization. Dar Pitman, a founding member, has served on countless committees, shown support for fellow members, and helped with decorating and hospitality. Dar has added grace and beauty to many of our events. She also makes personalized cards to add cheer and support to any Putters in need.

MVLP will be awarding individuals whose enduring commitment makes our organization flourish. Anyone wanting to nominate a Putter to receive a recognition award can contact the board. Those interested in joining the MountainView Lady Putters can come to the annual registration on Wednesday, Jan. 21, at 8:15 a.m. in the MountainView ballroom.
