I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are now ready for our annual party—a real happening on December 9 at the RoadRunner Grill with the customary fantastic food and fun.
You have probably noticed that we now have hand records for most of our games—a great tool for reviewing your bid and play after the game. In evaluating the results it helps to have noted the lead on your scorecard as well as the contract, in case you haven’t already figured that out.
Back to our October games, we had nine games with an average of about 10 tables. Our first game of the month was the Club Championship won in the N/S by Marie Heald/Donna DePesa and in the E/W by Bob Stotts and Trudie Weber-Penta. Congratulations! While we did not have any big 70 percenters, we did have a three-way tie for first at the Club Appreciation Day on October 14: Kay and Darwin Afdahl, Steve Maltzman/Donna DePesa and Darlene Barstad/Marie Heald all had a 65.05%. I notice these things sometimes.
