When Mountain Shadows Presbyterian Church erected its present buildings in 2003 at 14240 N. Oracle in Catalina, they were designed to be easily accessible to anyone with a mobility disability. The parking area has plenty of handicapped spots; ramps make getting to the sanctuary rather easy, water fountains are at various heights and bathrooms were designed to accommodate wheelchairs and walkers.

Now the Facilities Ministry Team of MSPC is installing railings along the inside walls of the sanctuary for people who may experience a balancing challenge. Better lighting will be installed in the parking lot to aid those finding their cars in the evening hours and a ramp to the pulpit is being considered so that anyone will find the Chancel area accessible. And for those with a hearing disability, we also can provide a person who will sign the service. Just call us at 825-7858 to make those arrangements.

Mountain Shadows, a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA,) is a Christ centered fellowship, called to live as disciples of Jesus Christ as we care for our community and our world. We strive to share the good news of the Gospel with each other and surrounding communities and to interact with love and grace with all of God’s creation. Therefore we want our church to welcome everyone.
