On Sunday, February 23 SaddleBrooke Symphony Guild will provide a bus and dinner trip to hear the Midtown Men perform at the Tucson Music Hall. The group reunites four stars from the original cast of Broadway’s Jersey Boys, making them the first vocal group ever formed by the principal cast of a high profile Broadway show. Tony Award winner Christian Hoff, Michael Longoria, Daniel Reichard and Tony Award nominee J. Robert Spencer bring to life their favorite 1960 hits from The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Motown and more. Since 2007 they have been receiving rave reviews from their sold out performances as they toured the USA. Each tour has grown in audience size and appreciation as they appeal to audiences of all ages. Their debut album, The Midtown Men: Sixties Hits, garnered critical acclaim and five star reviews from iTunes. “It is once again a testament to what The Midtown Men do best; helping to keep alive iconic music from the ‘60s in the 21st Century while giving it a new twist.” You can only imagine how great they will sound with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra playing the backup parts to their vocals.
The bus will leave from the front of DesertView Theater area at 12:30 p.m. and transport us to the Tucson Music Hall for the concert. Following the concert, dinner will be at Guiseppe’s Italian Restaurant. The menu has the house salad plus your choice of four entrees: Cannelloni, Penne with sausage, Primavera Pasta with grilled shrimp or grilled salmon salad. Dessert will be house made spumoni ice cream.
